Physical Attendance
The ICAHT centre is a three story building housing both the ICAHT teaching institute and its associated full time hijama clinic which has been in operation for over 9 years, attracting patients from all across the UK as well as from abroad.
The lecture hall in which the majority of
training classes, seminars and lectures
take place provides separate seating facili
ties for males and females as well as segregated
practical training rooms for the
hands-on practical sessions.
A students/tutor staff area is available as
well as kitchen facilities with microwave
and fridge access for safe storage of personal belongings and snacks during study
time. Students are encouraged and welcome
to bring their own food and drink in
as and when they please and are allowed
to access and use the communal facilities
as their own.
There are dedicated wudu and prayer facilities
at the centre in addition to its location
being directly behind the grand Jame
Mosque of Leicester.
The clinical facility comprises of 5 fully equipped treatment rooms, with electric lift beds and wash basins, a reception and waiting lounge area, administrative offices, toilets and shower with full disability access. The Institute is located in the heart of the community where the five times daily call to prayer can be heard from a number of the minarets that surround the area.
In addition to mosques there are a wide selection of halal restaurants and shops in walk ing distance from the centre including the world renowned Islamic Establishment which is one of the largest Muslim supplies and book retailers in Europe.
